 'Drawn from members of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, this new orchestra makes a splendid CD debut.  Directed by Derbyshire-born Richard Jenkinson, who doubles as the admirable soloist in concertos by Boccherini and da Vinci, the orchestra produces some of the most beautiful  string playing I have heard for many a year.  The un-hurried Elgar is an absolute gem; Mozart is crisp, neat and bubbles with happiness, while I was much taken with Paul da Vinci's concerto with the title 'Hope', to mark the Irish peace process.
